In 1957, it was renamed the William C. Roudenbush School, honoring a long-serving principal. After Westford Academy moved in 1973, the building became a community center, with the Roudenbush Community Center Committee (RCCC) forming in 1975 to manage it. In 1976, the Roudenbush Community Center Associates (RCCA) was incorporated to handle program funding. Over the years, Roudenbush expanded to multiple buildings and became financially independent in 2004, fully separating from town management in 2009. Serving the town of Westford for almost 50 years, it has provided daycare, community events, free space for various activities, and continuing education opportunities. The building underwent renovations in 2017, securing a lease through 2025.
