- First Aid CPR AED: All Ages
Instructor: Armen Jeknavorian Class: First Aid & CPR & AED: All Ages Saturday/June 7th/ 9:00am - 1:00pm/ 6th grade - Adults/$110 The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide First Aid and CPR in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course specifically will train participants in Adult, Child and Infant CPR, AED use and choking. First Aid topics include bleeding control, allergic reactions, and Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies. Each participant will receive a course completion card. *This course does not meet the requirements for childcare or healthcare workers. * Armen Jeknavorian is a nationally and state-registered paramedic with over 30 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). He has led 911 response teams and managed high-acuity emergencies across a wide range of critical situations. As a faculty instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA), Armen teaches Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to peers and healthcare professionals. Since 2012, he has also trained lay rescuers in First Aid and CPR and teaches Child and Babysitting Safety courses to middle school students. Outside of his professional work, Armen is a proud father of three. He enjoys spending quality time with his family—cooking breakfast, going on picnics, taking trips to New Hampshire and Maine, and enjoying backyard games and barbecues.

- College Essay Workshop
Instructors: Lynn Bonakdar & Heidi Hider Class: College Essay Workshop Tuesday & Thursday/June 24th & 26th/2:00om - 4:00pm/Highschool/$398 In this course, students will work with Westford Academy English teacher Lynn Bonakdar and Westford Academy School Counselor Heidi Hider to craft their Common Application essay. This objective will be met through in-person instruction, one-on-one conferencing, and instructor feedback throughout the writing process. While the course meets for four hours in person, instructors will be available to students for an additional four hours outside of class time. Students should be prepared to work on the essay independently between sessions. Lynn Bonakdar has been teaching in Westford for nineteen years. Currently, she teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Westford Academy. Lynn holds a Master of Education and has years of private tutoring experience in writing, test preparation, and literature. She has been teaching community education courses in the area for over a decade and is passionate about helping students sharpen their skills and increase their confidence. Heidi Hider has a Masters in School Counseling from Boston College. She has been a school counselor for twenty-four years and also does private college counseling work. She loves helping students find their unique voice in crafting college essays.

INSTRUCTOR: WestfordCAT Class: Lights, Camera, Action! Monday - Friday: /August 18th - 22nd /12:00pm - 4:00pm/Grades 6th - 8th/$175 Held at: WestfordCAT 487 Groton Road, Westford Lights, Camera, Action is WestfordCAT’s premier youth media program where students can learn how to use video to tell their own stories by making movies, skits, PSA's, shows, and so much more. This immersive program provides students with hands-on experience in broadcast production, filmmaking, and game show participation. Over the course of four days, participants will learn how to operate professional video equipment, create short films, and even take part in a televised game show. Allowing kids to gain real-world media production skills in a fun and engaging environment. The staff at WestfordCAT are media professionals with experience in video production, camera operation, studio visual effects and video editing. Lindsey Hanrahan, 24, is a longtime Westford resident and graduate of Fairfield University, where she earned degrees in Journalism, Marketing, English, and American Studies. During her time at Fairfield, she served as an editor for the school’s HER Campus branch, sharpening her writing and editing skills. Lindsey has a strong passion for media, storytelling, and engaging with the community through creative projects. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing.

Instructor: Snapology Staff Class: Creature Creator Robotics & Scientists Date: July 14th - 18th, 2025 Time: 9:00am - 3:30pm Age: Kindergarten to 5th grade Price: $349 Snapology's Lego® Based Engineering & Robotics Programs Creature Creator Robotics: In Snapology's Creature Creator program, your animal lover will build a variety of robotic creatures that respond to each of their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges. It's going to be a RAWR-ing good time! Scientists: Allow your child to cultivate their love of science and experience different domains of science & nature. Students will engage in concepts from astronomy, earth science, biology, chemistry and physics using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools. We make science fun at Snapology! This program will run Monday-Friday from 9AM-3:30PM. Participants should bring a packed lunch, drinks, and at least two snacks (one for the morning and one for the afternoon). There is some outdoor time scheduled throughout the day (weather permitting).

Throughout the week, their knowledge will be put to the test as we: Complete advanced Minecraft® builds using LEGO® bricks and game-play experiences. Students will learn the art of crafting and stirring up their own potions using LEGO® bricks. * Create amazing movies with stop-motion animation using LEGO® bricks. * Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! * Work together as a team in Minecraft® to develop creativity and problem-solving skills through active planning, troubleshooting, and spatial building scenarios. You won't believe how much this fun virtual world can teach you! Not only do children learn valuable architectural design and special building skills as they have fun playing Minecraft, but they participate in team projects to enhance communication skills, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
