About The Event
In this 45-minute session, Making Home Speech Practice Work, parents and caregivers will gain the tools and knowledge they need to confidently support their child’s speech development (aka articulation) at home.
This workshop will empower parents to:
Understand speech development milestones: What’s typical, what’s not, and when to seek additional help.
Learn how speech therapists target error patterns: Get a clear picture of what error patterns are, why they happen, and how they’re addressed in therapy.
Understand why home practice is essential: Discover why traditional approaches to practice often fall short—and how to make home practice more effective.
Feel confident in your role: Learn how parents and SLPs can work together to help children make the most efficient progress possible.
