About The Event

The Carve for Carson began 12 years ago after the unexpected death Carson Sallet.  Carson was 17 months old child on the morning  of October 25, 2012 when he didn''t wake from his nap. Carson died from what is known as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).  In the days of shock and disbelief that followed his extened family surrounded his parents, sisteer and brother, and on the following Saturday brought pumpkins to carve together in thier driveway.  In his brief time with them, Carson was known as thier "little pumpkin;" he was always smiling, so full of joy, and seemed to have a way of bringing people together.  This seems to be his legacy.

Since that first year, the Carve for Carson event has grown to a gathering of over 80-100 family, friends and neighbors who gather together to remember and honor Carson's memory on the last Sunday in October.
