This program provides a fun, creative, disciplined, and active atmosphere for children. It incorporates instrumental, beat-heavy music to motivate and educate children in sports and fitness. Children learn the foundational skills needed for most athletics, along with essential life skills. Mr. Ben lives here in Westford where he resides with his loving wife and their 5 children. He has years of experience in early childhood education and working with school age children here in this community and surrounding towns. In 2016 he created "Mr. Ben Sports and Fitness" and over the years his experience has opened many doors to other creative classes that he has taught here at Roudenbush and other locations. Mr. Bens love of sports, and music stems from having grown up in a family of artists, musicians and athletes.   • Exploring my DNA and Ancestry

    Instructor: Leah Abraham ** ONLINE CLASS ** Tuesdays/October 6th-October 27th/7:00pm-9:00pm/Any age/$129 Session 1: I got my DNA test back. What does all this mean? Learn the Basics of viewing your DNA test results. Learn about your origin regions, how to link your test to your tree, and see where to find matches. Session 2: I have DNA matches. What can I learn about my ancestors? You may not recognize any names in your match list. In this session, we’ll learn how to find out if a match is a first cousin (sharing a grandparent) or up to a 4th cousin (sharing a third great grandparent). We’ll begin building your tree to include matches. Session 3: I want to build a family tree. How do I attach census and marriage records to people in my tree? Once you have your tree with parents and grandparents, you might want to find and attach census, marriage, or obituary records. We’ll learn now to find and attach records (and discover new relatives in those records). Session 4: Pro-tools on ancestry.com How can this help me build my tree? We’ll look at ancestry.com’s “pro tools” and how they help with improving trees and finding out how your DNA matches connect to each other Dr. Leah Abraham has a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Her science background in DNA includes experience sequencing DNA at MIT and teaching college and graduate classes in Biology, Bioengineering, and Statistics at Tufts, BU, Northeastern, and Merrimack College. Dr. Abraham has personal experience using DNA results to locate her own birth parents (in one intense 4 week search effort). She has a personal ancestry.com tree with over 300 DNA matches traced to common ancestors, as well as trees on MyHeritage, FamilyTree, WikiTree, and FamilySearch. Dr. Abraham has helped dozens of other people use their DNA results to locate birth relatives. She is able to advise on advanced DNA and tree tools including DNAgedcom, GenomeMatePro, Family Tree Maker, and Charting Companion.

    Instructor: Snapology staff M-F/Aug 10th-14th/9:00am-3:30pm/K-5/$399 In Space Wars Robotics & Animation Studio, students will explore two exciting worlds—building futuristic robots and bringing their stories to life through animation. First, kids will blast off into Space Wars Robotics, where they’ll design and program their own droids, speeders, and mission-ready robots inspired by epic galactic adventures. They’ll learn coding, sensors, motors, and engineering concepts as they complete interstellar challenges and friendly robot missions. Then, the creativity continues in Animation Studio! Students will build sets, design characters, and use stop-motion techniques to create their very own animated scenes. They’ll explore storytelling, sequencing, digital editing, and hands-on filmmaking skills.
