Instructor: Armen Jeknavorian Class: First Aid & CPR & AED: All Ages Saturday/February 28th/ 9:00am - 1:00pm/ Age 9 - Adults/$110 If this class is FULL please call (978) 496 -1707 x 102 to be added to a waitlist. If there is enough interest a second instructor will be added to accommodate more participants. The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide First Aid and CPR in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course specifically will train participants in Adult, Child and Infant CPR, AED use and choking. First Aid topics include bleeding control, allergic reactions, and Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies. Each participant will receive a course completion card. *This course does not meet the requirements for childcare or healthcare workers. * Armen Jeknavorian is a nationally and state-registered paramedic with over 30 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). He has led 911 response teams and managed high-acuity emergencies across a wide range of critical situations. As a faculty instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA), Armen teaches Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to peers and healthcare professionals. Since 2012, he has also trained lay rescuers in First Aid and CPR and teaches Child and Babysitting Safety courses to middle school students. Outside of his professional work, Armen is a proud father of three. He enjoys spending quality time with his family—cooking breakfast, going on picnics, taking trips to New Hampshire and Maine, and enjoying backyard games and barbecues.
Policy & Procedures
WITHDRAWAL & CANCELLATION POLICY: Our programs are supported entirely by participant fees; therefore, full refunds are not provided. If a participant withdraws at least 7 days prior to the program start date, a refund less a 25% processing fee will be issued. Withdrawals made fewer than 7 days before the start date are non-refundable. No refunds are issued for events. Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the start of a program will receive a 75% refund; no other refunds will be granted. If Roudenbush cancels a class, participants will be notified and issued a full refund or voucher. RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR MINOR: I/We, as the parent or legal guardian of a registered minor, consent to the child’s participation in The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. (TRCCI) programs and use of TRCCI facilities and equipment. I/We agree to release and hold harmless TRCCI, its employees, agents, and assigns from any liability arising from participation in these programs. I/We further consent to emergency medical treatment in the event of injury or illness during program participation and accept financial responsibility for such treatment. PHOTOGRAPHY PERMISSION: I/We consent to the taking of photographs and videos of my/our child for use in the promotion of TRCCI programs. BEHAVIOR POLICY: Children are expected to treat instructors, staff, peers, and the facility respectfully; use kind words; keep hands and feet to themselves; follow instructions; participate safely; remain in designated program areas; and use materials appropriately. Instructors address behavior concerns using a supportive, step-by-step approach that may include reminders, redirection, brief cool-down periods, parent or guardian communication, early pickup, or removal from future classes if behavior repeatedly impacts safety or learning. Refunds for removed participants will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A child may be removed immediately if behavior poses a danger to themselves, other participants, or staff. In these cases, the child will be brought to the Community Center’s main office and parents or guardians will be contacted for prompt pickup. Families play an important role by reviewing expectations with their child, sharing relevant information or accommodation needs, and remaining reachable during class times. Roudenbush welcomes children of all abilities and backgrounds and strives to provide reasonable accommodations to ensure a safe, fun & enriching experience for everyone.
