The Roudenbush Community Center hosts various events that bring the community together, including the Town-Wide Yard Sale, seasonal parties for middle school students, local markets, and a lively Halloween Parade. They also organize the charitable Carve for Carson pumpkin-carving event and a Halloween Costume Swap, promoting sustainability by allowing families to exchange gently used costumes, fostering a vibrant, connected community for all ages.

Join Janice Merion-Billings, LICSW and Rachael O’Toole, LICSW from True North Therapy as as they
lead an interactive and educational workshop that is intended to help you learn practical techniques to reduce and best manage anxiety in your teens. Teenagers may experience excessive anxiety and unfortunately, with anxiety rates increasing, it is sometimes difficult to effectively manage worries and anxious thoughts.
This workshop will focus on the nature of anxiety in adolescents, signs of anxiety that parents can look for, and how parents can help alleviate their children’s anxiety.
Rachael O’Toole, LICSW, holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross, an MSW (Master’s in Social Work) from Rutgers University, and a Graduate Certificate in Change Management from Cornell. Rachael has spent her career working with people who are adapting to changing life circumstances such a birth, family changes, divorce, a diagnosis, or a loss. Additionally, Rachael specializes in working with anxiety and depression. She finds her passion in respectfully working with individuals and families to create the change they seek in their lives. Rachael provides a grounded and compassionate space for therapy. Rachael is dedicated to the work of therapy, believing it can support improved communication, relationships, and confidence; allowing you to thrive, flourish, and become your best self.
Janice Merion-Billings, LICSW, brings over twenty-five years of experience working with most age groups from very diverse backgrounds.
Janice has extensive experience working with clients who are living with anxiety, depression, grief & loss, parenting challenges, and trauma. Janice utilizes approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. The cornerstone of her approach is developing mutual trust and the belief that change is possible for anyone. She respects every person’s perspective, listens carefully, and encourages collaboration. Janice also works to help her clients feel increased internal control and hopefulness; especially important as we continue living with the impact of the pandemic.
Janice received her B.A. in psychology from Boston University and her MSW from Simmons University. Janice also completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Certification in 2015.
