Service Description
Instructors: Cory Roman and Lynn Bonakdar Wednesday/September 10th/6:00pm-9:00pm/High School/$180 This in-person combined SAT cram preparatory course is designed to help students of all levels and abilities improve their scores on both the verbal and math sections of the digital SAT. Students will not only be exposed to the curriculum covered on both the Verbal & Math sections of the SAT, but they will also learn strategies for taking standardized tests. Students will take actual SAT practice tests where answers and methods for solving problems will be discussed. Students will also learn how to navigate the computer application used for the SAT. The class will be three days before the actual SAT is administered on September 13. Cory Roman is a Massachusetts certified teacher with over twenty years of high school teaching experience. He is currently teaching Algebra 2, Trigonometry & PreCalculus and AP Statistics at Westford Academy. Cory holds a Master's of Education from Harvard University, and has extensive experience tutoring privately in both SAT/ACT and in various mathematics courses. He has been teaching community education classes for 5 years at Roudenbush Community Center and hopes to help all students improve their mathematical skills and standardized test taking strategies. Lynn Bonakdar has been teaching in Westford for nineteen years. Currently, she teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Westford Academy. Lynn holds a Master of Education and has years of private tutoring experience in writing, test preparation, and literature. She has been teaching community education courses in the area for over a decade and is passionate about helping students sharpen their skills and increase their confidence.
Policy & Procedures
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Our programs are supported totally by fees; therefore, full refunds are not given for withdrawals. In the event you would like to withdraw, you will receive a refund as follows: · If a participant withdraws from a program at least seven days prior to the start date a refund of the cost less 25% processing fee will be given. · If a participant withdraws from a program less than seven days prior to the start date, no refund will be issued. · No refunds are given for trips or special events. Cancellation Policy - I/We accept the following The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. (TRCCI) Cancellation and Transfer Policy: A voucher less $10 will be issued for cancellations 7 days prior to start of program; no other refunds will be granted; no refunds will be issued for trips or special events; there will be a $10 fee to transfer from one class to another; vouchers expire one year from date of issue; if Roudenbush cancels a class, we will call participants and issue a full voucher or refund. Release of Liability for Minor - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to his/her participation in the TRCCI Programs and to his/her use of the TRCCI facilities and equipment. I/We further agree to release and hold harmless TRCCI and their employees, agents and assigns from any and all liability or expenses arising out of any incident involving, or any account of any injury to the above named minor in connection with such program. I/We further consent to emergency treatment by a physician in the event of injury to, or illness of our child during his/her participation in this program. I/We accept full responsibility for all costs for any such emergency treatment. Photography Permission - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to the taking of videos and photographs of my/our child which may be used in the promotion of the TRCCI Programs.
