Instructor: Lynn Bonakdar & Tracy McLaughlin Class: College Essay Workshop Date: June 25th & 27th Time: 5:30 - 7:30pm Ages: High School Price: $396 In this virtual college essay course, students will work with Westford Academy English teacher Lynn Bonakdar and Westford Academy Guidance Counselor Tracy McLaughlin. Upon completion of the class, students will have an essay ready for the college application process. Please note: although the class officially meets twice, instructors will provide additional times for one-on-one virtual meetings that week, and will be commenting within documents between sessions and after completion of the course. Students should be prepared to work on the essay that week and meet with the instructors as needed between sessions to bring their essay to completion. Lynn Bonakdar has been teaching in Westford for nineteen years. Currently, she teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Westford Academy. Lynn holds a Masters degree and has years of private tutoring experience in writing, PSAT/SAT/ACT test preparation, and literature. She has been teaching community education courses in the area for over a decade and is passionate about helping students sharpen their skills and increase their confidence. Tracy McLaughlin is a school counselor at Westford Academy where she has worked with students on the college process for the past 20 years. She has also worked as a private college counselor outside of WA. Additionally, she has previous experience working as an Assistant Director for Boston University's Health Care Management MBA Program where her job included the admissions process for potential candidates. One of her favorite parts of her job is working with students on the college essay.

Policy & Procedures
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Our programs are supported totally by fees; therefore, full refunds are not given for withdrawals. In the event you would like to withdraw, you will receive a refund as follows: · If a participant withdraws from a program at least seven days prior to the start date a refund of the cost less 25% processing fee will be given. · If a participant withdraws from a program less than seven days prior to the start date, no refund will be issued. · No refunds are given for trips or special events. Cancellation Policy - I/We accept the following The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. (TRCCI) Cancellation and Transfer Policy: A voucher less $10 will be issued for cancellations 7 days prior to start of program; no other refunds will be granted; no refunds will be issued for trips or special events; there will be a $10 fee to transfer from one class to another; vouchers expire one year from date of issue; if Roudenbush cancels a class, we will call participants and issue a full voucher or refund. Release of Liability for Minor - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to his/her participation in the TRCCI Programs and to his/her use of the TRCCI facilities and equipment. I/We further agree to release and hold harmless TRCCI and their employees, agents and assigns from any and all liability or expenses arising out of any incident involving, or any account of any injury to the above named minor in connection with such program. I/We further consent to emergency treatment by a physician in the event of injury to, or illness of our child during his/her participation in this program. I/We accept full responsibility for all costs for any such emergency treatment. Photography Permission - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to the taking of videos and photographs of my/our child which may be used in the promotion of the TRCCI Programs.
