Instructor: Code Wiz Staff Class: BotBasics-Introduction to Robotics Date: Mondays Jan 8th - Feb 19th 7 weeks Time: 4:00 - 5:30 Age: 6 to 8 years old Price: $249 Location: 175 Littleton Road Our curriculum, tailored for students aged 6 to 8, offers a dynamic journey into robotics, blending the CODES model, LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Set, and Scratch visual programming. Each module is crafted to enhance comprehension, problem-solving, coding proficiency, and creativity through hands-on projects. Concepts Children Will Learn Students will grasp essential concepts including: -Programming: Learn coding basics interactively with Scratch. - Sensors: Explore applications of various sensors in robotics. - Mechanical Design: Understand gears, tires, and threads. - Motion Control: Master robotics movement and coordination. -Algorithmic Thinking: Develop problem-solving skills with logical approaches. - Robotics Engineering: Gain insights into robot assembly and functioning. - Creative Problem Solving: Enhance critical thinking and innovation. How do kids learn at Code Wiz? Project-Driven Learning: Students complete tailored projects, fostering creativity and entrepreneurial skills. Montessori Style: Individualized, self-paced learning encourages exploration and engagement. Cool Rewards: Earn badges and “WizBucks” for completed projects, redeemable for prizes. Policy & Procedures
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: Our programs are supported totally by fees; therefore, full refunds are not given for withdrawals. In the event you would like to withdraw, you will receive a refund as follows: · If a participant withdraws from a program at least seven days prior to the start date a refund of the cost less 25% processing fee will be given. · If a participant withdraws from a program less than seven days prior to the start date, no refund will be issued. · No refunds are given for trips or special events. Cancellation Policy - I/We accept the following The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. (TRCCI) Cancellation and Transfer Policy: A voucher less $10 will be issued for cancellations 7 days prior to start of program; no other refunds will be granted; no refunds will be issued for trips or special events; there will be a $10 fee to transfer from one class to another; vouchers expire one year from date of issue; if Roudenbush cancels a class, we will call participants and issue a full voucher or refund. Release of Liability for Minor - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to his/her participation in the TRCCI Programs and to his/her use of the TRCCI facilities and equipment. I/We further agree to release and hold harmless TRCCI and their employees, agents and assigns from any and all liability or expenses arising out of any incident involving, or any account of any injury to the above named minor in connection with such program. I/We further consent to emergency treatment by a physician in the event of injury to, or illness of our child during his/her participation in this program. I/We accept full responsibility for all costs for any such emergency treatment. Photography Permission - I/We, as parents/guardians of registered minor, hereby consent to the taking of videos and photographs of my/our child which may be used in the promotion of the TRCCI Programs.
