The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. was awarded a Cummings Foundation $100K for 100 grant for the purpose of upgrading its three playgrounds and making them more handicap accessible. In addition to the grant, we have had donations of all sizes come in to help bring this project to reality.
Currently, we are exploring our option as to what changes would be best for the three playgrounds. Some ideas that are in the scope of the project are replacing the ground covering to make it easier for wheel chairs to access, replacing or refurbishing some of the aging equipment and adding additional handicap accessible features, repairing the fencing and landscaping in and around the playgrounds, and upgrading the shade structures within the playgrounds.
As we wrap up the planning, we are still seeking donations to help with this project. Outside of class hours, all three playgrounds are available for the entire community to use and enjoy. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by clicking the button below or mailing a check. If you are unable to make a donation but would like to offer services in-kind, please contact Michelle using the link below. Also, there will be hosting multiple "community days". If you are interested in participating, please use the link below to submit your information and we will contact you when the time comes.
