Instructor: EMS 2000

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. . ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE CURRENT AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION TEXTBOOK WHEN ATTENDING CLASS. Text available from RCC or instructor at 978-692-2358. An AHA ecard will be issued upon successful course completion. Cost of text-$2.50. 

Students will be asked to wear mask and gloves.

Cancellation Policy - I/We accept the following Roudenbush Community Center Cancellation and Transfer Policy:   A voucher less $10 will be issued for cancellations 7 days prior to start of program;     no other refunds will be granted;   no refunds will be issued for trips or special events;   there will be a $10 fee to transfer from one class to another;   vouchers expire one year from date of issue;   if Roudenbush cancels a class, we will call participants and issue a full voucher or refund. 

Release of Liability - Participation in certain physical program(s) may involve some risk of personal injury.  By checking this box I hereby release and covenant to hold harmless The Roudenbush Community Center, its agents and employees from any and all actions, claims, and damages for personal injuries, that I or my children may sustain or incur as a result of participation in the program(s).
