Community Fun
The Roudenbush Community Center hosts a variety of events that bring the community together. Twice a year, the Town-Wide Yard Sale invites residents to sell and shop for treasures, while middle school students enjoy four seasonal parties filled with music and games. The center also hosts local markets, a lively Halloween Parade, and the charitable Carve for Carson pumpkin-carving event. Additionally, the Halloween Costume Swap promotes sustainability by allowing families to exchange gently used costumes. These events foster a vibrant and connected community for all ages.
CARVE for CARSON
Due to COVID, and CDC guidelines, this year we will be unable to gather in the same way that we have in past years for the Carve for Carson. Nonetheless, we would like to still honor Carson, and hold the Carve for Carson in a “socially distanced” way.

About The Event
The Carve for Carson began 8 years ago after the unexpected death of a 17 month old child during his morning nap, on October 25th 2012, from what is known as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). In the days of shock and disbelief that followed our family surrounded us, and on the following Saturday brought pumpkins to carve together in our driveway. In his brief time with us, Carson was known as our "little pumpkin;" he was always smiling, so full of joy, and seemed to have a way of bringing people together. This seems to be his legacy.
