New!   LEARN TO EXTREME COUPON
Instructor: Elizabeth Lahens
Location: Roudenbush, 65 Main Street
RCC-E10481 Sept 17 (Tues) 6:30 pm-9:00 pm $43/$40
RCC-E10611 Nov 13 (Wed) 6:30 pm-9:00 pm $43/$40
This course will break down the couponing process into manageable and easy to follow steps to get you on your way to saving at least 50% off your grocery bill. You will learn what extreme couponing is and how it differs from regular couponing, how to get started saving money on groceries and household items, "extreme couponing" strategies, where to look for online coupons Please bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Westford food pantry.

Extreme couponing isn't as crazy as it may sound. You don't have to let coupons dominate your life, and you don't have to be embarrassed at the cash register. You just need the right strategies to use coupons in conjunction with store sales and promotions, and then enjoy the satisfaction of getting items for free or close to free. It's about timing, and not necessarily using a coupon because you found it in that week's Sunday paper. Instead of using it immediately, you hold onto coupons until items go on sale, maximizing your savings without sacrificing quality.

This course will break down the couponing process into manageable and easy to follow steps to get you on your way to saving at least 50% off your grocery bill. You'll come to realize how many items you should never pay full price for again. Topics include:
- what extreme couponing is and how it differs from regular couponing
- how to get started saving money on groceries and household items
- "extreme couponing" strategies
- where to look for online coupons
As a suggestion, please bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry. Most food pantries are struggling and donations are down more now than in recent years. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

About the instructor: Elizabeth Lahens is an Extreme Couponer from Massachusetts and owner of www.extremecoupontoday.com. She teaches couponing throughout New England. Elizabeth enjoys teaching others how they can do it too!

New!   MANAGING YOUR PASSWORDS WITH TEKBASICS
Instructor: David Price
Location: Roudenbush, 65 Main Street
RCC-E10635 Sept 25 (Wed) 7:00 pm-9:00 pm $33/$30
This course lays out a simple strategy that will keep you as secure as possible with a minimum of effort. The goal is to provide an understanding of the vulnerabilities and threats associated with passwords, ways to minimize your risks, and how to use passwords safely without losing your sanity. This course is useful to anyone who uses passwords, whether you use a Mac or a PC, an iPad or iPhone or an Android device.

In our online world it's not uncommon to have dozens to hundreds of passwords. Ideally, you should produce passwords that are unique and random, but you need to remember them all. The human brain has trouble performing these tasks reliably, so people take shortcuts their brains can handle. They pick easy passwords, like their kids' names or patterns of keys on the keyboard. They use the same password everywhere so they have only one password to remember instead of hundreds.

The recommended text is an eBook that can be purchased at www.tekbasics.com/passwords.html. Print it out and bring it to class for reference and notes.

Did you know:
- 9-character passwords with upper- and lower-case letters, digits, and punctuation are NOT strong enough.
- You CANNOT turn a so-so password into a great one by tacking on a punctuation character and number at the end.
- Even if you come up with a great password, it is NOT safe to use the same password everywhere.
- A delay between login attempts does NOT make a password immune to automated cracking.
- If you're an ordinary person without valuable data, your account may STILL be hacked, causing you problems.
- You can NOT manually devise 'random' passwords that will defeat potential attackers.
- A password is not necessarily adequate just because it does not appear in a dictionary.
- It's NOT a smart idea to change your passwords every month.
- Security questions like 'What is your mother's maiden name?' can make your data INSECURE.
- Adding a character to a 10-character password does NOT make it 10% stronger.
- Easy-to-remember passwords like 'correct horse battery staple' will NOT solve all your password problems.
- All password manager apps are NOT pretty much the same.
- Your passwords will NOT be safest if you never write them down and keep them only in your head.

Through movement, we will explore how to listen to and discover your body's needs, your feelings, and your state of mind. As an expectant mother, you will be guided toward your inner resources for self-nourishment, and for finding your own instincts and following your intuition. As a group, students and teacher together, we can examine the questions and uncertainties that may arise. This will help mothers to discover their own power and potential for giving birth naturally.
Practical work will include learning the following:
* Postural awareness
* Poses that alleviate discomfort during the expectant mother's journey
* Positions that provide comfort and facilitate labor
* Movement sequences (Dru yoga)
* Breath awareness
* Simple breathing techniques for labor and birth
* Sound and vocalization techniques
* Beautiful visualizations
* Poses that offer deep relaxation

In each class, every student will receive individual attention. The areas of focus that are most important to her in that moment will be identified, and her specific needs will be addressed. Class can be pro-rated depending on when you begin class.

About the Instructor: Regine's love of movement is lifelong and has taken her from her native Belgium to Holland, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her experience in the art of teaching yoga began over 25 years ago in Holland. Her knowledge of Iyengar yoga, Restorative yoga and Dru yoga (energy in stillness and, energy in motion) is extensive. She is an experienced, registered yoga and prenatal yoga teacher (E-RYT 500/ RPYT) and certified Dru yoga teacher(MRDY). Through movement - powerful, beautiful, interesting - she will invite you to a place of stillness, where you will feel grounded and centered and connect with yourself in a new way. She enjoys working one on one and in small groups. This allows her to build individual connections, give personalized instruction, and discover each student's uniqueness. As a therapist teaching people how to work their mind and manage emotions for 27 years, it was apparent that the body and mind are connected and as humans we need to nurture both aspects of ourselves. And so was born stretches and tangos, a movement studio that teaches yoga classes with a therapeutic twist. All classes are small and personal and geared toward optimal physical and mental health. In yoga we incorporate hypnosis, nlp, and stress management techniques to set goals and change negative patterns, combined with easy and challenging movements for every body.

Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit. All of this is done to innovative, thought provoking music and vocals.

About the Instructor:
Sally Sacks M.Ed. is the owner of Sacks & Associates Wellness Center Littleton, Mass; and has been servicing the community for 14 years. Ms. Sacks has been in practice for 26 years so is a seasoned psychotherapist using many techniques to help clients suffering from emotional challenges, to include anxiety, depression, ocd, stress, divorce, parenting issues etc. Please see Sally's website for detailed information.
Most recently, at midlife, due to a tremendous need, Ms. Sacks has expanded her practice to include Yoga therapy. So many of my clients were stressed from work, (or loss of), sedentary lifestyles, parenting stress and physical ailments never felt before. Many young people were overwhelming psychiatrists offices with the need for antidepressants due to high demands.
And so was born the Stretches and Tangos Yoga studio. Yoga is offered in a different tradition, combining Sally's many years of stress management and hypnotherapy techniques with yoga postures and movement that every body, and every age, can participate in. You don't have to be a yoga guru! Most importantly we work our minds using meditation and hypnosis and affirmations, and our body moves to current inspirational music that I have designed especially for class.
