A CHILDREN'S AUTHORS WORKSHOP Ages 6-10

Young artists will love painting, printing and using mixed media as we explore several unusual styles of childrens illustrators. All projects are new and exciting. Artists include Leo Lionni, Pamela Zagrensky, Betsy Lewin and others. Students will practice several techniques while emulating the diverse approaches the artist uses. Please bring a smock and $10.00 supply fee due first class.
ACRYLIC PAINTING WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN Ages 8-12

Learn the fine art of acrylic painting as we explore landscape, seascape and still life. Students will look at the masters as we learn the basics of composition, value study, color theory and drawing skills. We will work from set-ups, paint outdoors (weather permitting) and photos. Please bring a smock, a light lunch and $10.00 supply fee due first class.
ANIMAL DRAWING WORKSHOP Grades 4-8

Using pencil, charcoal and conte crayons students will learn to sketch and shade a variety of animal types. We will study line contouring, blending and cross hatching techniques working from photos and demonstrations. This is a great class to gain confidence in basic drawing skill and seeing the animal form in a whole new way! Please bring $10.00 fee to the first class.
JUNGLE JUMBALAYA Grades 1-4

Do you love drawing cool animals, from chameleons to hippos? Come explore watercolor, pastel, printing techniques and acrylic in this unique class as we create exciting approaches to jungle creatures and their natural habitats. Learn to sketch animals of all shapes and textures and design colorful settings for them using paints, clay and even natural materials! Please bring a smock and $10.00 fee to the first class only.

Does your child or teen love to draw and create their own worlds? This seven series art class will give kids the chance to create avatars, make up characters for their stories and create environments like middle kingdoms, death starts and other cool places. Students will explore drawing techniques in different media and styles in a fun, artistic environment. They can let their imagination run wild as they explore storytelling, character design, perspective and age-appropriate graphic novels as a whole.
YOU AND ME AND THE BEAUTIFUL SEA ART WORKSHOP Grades 2-5

Learn fine art painting techniques as we explore amazing summer sea and skyscapes. Using a acrylic water-based oils and watercolor students will study atmospheric perspective, value and color and dynamic compositions. We will do thumbnail sketches, working from photos and how to transfer the sketch to the canvas. Projects include an oil painted sea, a cope cod landscape (framed in seashells) and a gorgeous sea and sky using blending methods and active brushstroke methods. Please bring a smock and $10.00 supply fee due at the first class only.
